Job Summary
Manage and oversee administrative functions to ensure effective workflow, evaluating procedures and suggesting modifications. Handle all communication into and out of the office, routing complex issues requiring authorization through the Divisional Youth Secretary. Manage the calendar for divisional events, camps, and conferences, coordinating preparations for invitations, registrations, travel, and lodging. Prepare correspondence, reports, programs, and hand-outs while securing and purchasing supplies for each session. Work Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with 60 biweekly hours. Overnight stays at camp or conference centers are required for youth events.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- four years progressively responsible experience performing administrative work in a general office
- at least two years preparing creative and informational materials
- any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
- Ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to effectively and efficiently work on multiple projects at the same time
- Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Valid State Driver's License - eligible driver under TSA Driver Program
- Overnight stays at camp or hotel/conference center required for youth events
