Job Summary
Obtain contractor quotations, prepare bid comparisons, and conduct factory/site inspections to guide fabrication, installation, and maintenance activities. Inspect machine components for compliance with drawings and quality standards, then coordinate precision machining, welding, and casting while supervising workshop operations. Support the Engineering team in mechanical troubleshooting and root-cause identification, ensuring alignment with company standards and safety requirements. Manage contractor selection and coordination with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver projects within agreed timelines. Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical fabrication, machining, maintenance, engineering projects, or a similar manufacturing environment
- Good knowledge of mechanical fabrication, welding, machining, casting, and workshop practices
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Strong technical problem-solving, communication, coordination, and contractor management skills
- A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, contractors, and production personnel
- Willingness and eagerness to learn and adapt to a dynamic industrial environment
