Job Summary
Oversee launch broadcasts and livestreams from Hawthorne, acting as producer and show caller to coordinate content creation, liaise with customers, and manage internal and external stakeholders. Develop content strategies for live events, broadcasts, and digital channels while supporting documentary filming, including scheduling, interview prep, and managing third-party crews. Monitor broadcast metrics to refine strategies, provide training to webcast hosts, and maintain trackers and process documents. Serve as the conduit for asset management and data collection, negotiating vendor relationships and managing project timelines and budgets. Set and review RFPs, treatments, and distribution plans to align with company objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of experience in live event or television production working with creative teams, including both internal creative teams and/or external agency partners
- Must be willing to travel in support of events and launches
- This position will work from Hawthorne, California – remote work will not be considered
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Desired Qualifications
- Strong understanding of photo, video, and digital creative production, best practices
- Prior hands-on experience with physical production, post-production
- Ability to effectively communicate complex topics with impeccable writing skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience working in an always-on, fast-paced, and dynamic, team environment
- Proven ability to thrive under pressure and parallel path multiple workstreams
- A cursory understanding of rockets and aerospace
- An understanding of evolving AI tools and how to implement into a production workflow
