Job Summary
Oversee all day-to-day culinary operations and guest service for the restaurant, ensuring consistent quality and Forbes Five Star standards. Manage kitchen expenses, approve schedules, and submit accurate payroll while reviewing daily financial reports to meet budget goals. Mentor associates, conduct safety inspections, and communicate directly with owners and executives on matters of interest. Execute hands-on tasks including drafting correspondence and assisting in other departments as needed. Collaborate with the Resort Executive Chef and F&B leadership to drive teamwork and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant culinary qualifications
- Previous culinary leadership experience
- 5-6 years' pastry leadership experience
- Superior customer/guest service relations experience
- Outgoing personality
- Knowledge of superior customer service training
- Superior communication skills
- Ability to manage workflow orders
- Ability to develop positive FOH and BOH relationships
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to speak English fluently
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
- Knowledge of and ability to operate Microsoft Office Programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Proven track record of staff development and retention
- Interpersonal sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to lift/push/pull/carry no more the 5-30 lbs
- Ability to stand continuously for 95%
- Ability to operate equipment for 15%
- Ability to kneel for 20%
- Ability to bend for 50%
- Ability to climb for 35%
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a Forbes four or five star rated restaurant
