Job Summary
Partner with the CEO to drive organizational strategy, translate objectives into actionable plans, and monitor project progress to ensure accountability. Coordinate ELT and Board meetings, prepare executive briefings and documentation, and manage the CEO's diary, travel, and communications. Act as a key gatekeeper for the CEO, draft speeches and media responses, and support governance requirements and compliance. Engage with government, community, and sector stakeholders, representing the CEO in meetings and fostering collaboration across leadership teams. Champion the organization's values and Deaf-led ethos while managing confidential matters with discretion. Full-time role in Melbourne, VIC.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a senior advisory, strategy, consulting, Chief of Staff, Executive Officer or similar role
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution and outcomes
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
- High emotional intelligence, sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a purpose-driven, community, government or not-for-profit environment
- NDIS Worker Clearance
- Working with Children Check (or equivalent)
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation requirements
- Willingness to complete required training, including Deafness Awareness and Communication Training and introductory Auslan programs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Boards and governance processes
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusion
- Familiarity with government relations, policy or advocacy
- Knowledge of the Deaf community and/or Auslan
