Job Summary
Executive Medical Director, US Medical Lead for Obesity & Related Conditions responsible for developing and executing the US Medical Affairs strategy for Amgen’s Obesity & Related Conditions portfolio, including Chronic Weight Management (CWM) and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Leads external medical engagement, evidence generation, medical education, scientific communications, publication plans, and lifecycle medical planning; partners with Global Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams to ensure activities are scientifically appropriate, non-promotional, compliant, and aligned with product strategy. Requires deep expertise in obesity and metabolic diseases, executive-level leadership, and people-management capabilities. This role supports US medical launch readiness, lifecycle planning, and medical insight generation, with a focus on medical strategy, engagement with external stakeholders, and collaboration across regulatory, safety, value & access, and field medical. This is a remote role in the United States with a salary range of $325,302 – $440,114, plus a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. Required Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree & 6 years of directly related experience OR Master’s degree & 10 years of directly related experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 12 years of directly related experience AND 6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
