Job Summary
Interact with guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, present bills, and manage allergies to ensure elevated experiences. Greet and seat guests, run food and beverages, replenish and polish glassware, clear and set tables, take payments, and stock service stations. Perform cocktail prep, make cocktails, prepare coffees, and complete assigned side work including stewarding and dishwashing. Maintain clean workplaces and ensure service stations are properly equipped before operations. Adhere to daily checklists, health regulations, and customer service guidelines while managing time across varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for excellent guest service
- Excellent grooming and professional presentation
- Well organized during both slow and busy periods
- Demonstrated knowledge of food and beverage operations including dining reservations
- Top candidates possess excellent communication and organizational skills
- Fluency in English
- Self-motivated and are able to produce accurate work and provide exceptional guest service
- Must have a valid Alberta ProServe certificate
- Must have experience in a similar role
- Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift within the hotel lounge and adjacent service areas
- Carrying and lifting trays, glassware, and small service equipment, typically up to 25 lbs
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and stooping to set tables, clear tables, clear dishes and stock lounge area and maintain service stations
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on business levels
