Job Summary
Oversee daily Housekeeping department operations, including staffing, scheduling, training, inspections, inventory, payroll, and financial performance. Lead, coach, and develop team members while recruiting, hiring, and onboarding staff in accordance with hotel policies. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, VIP spaces, and workspaces to ensure cleanliness standards are met, and monitor guest feedback to resolve service recovery opportunities. Partner with Front Office, Engineering, and Food & Beverage departments to coordinate guest needs and maintain smooth hotel operations. Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and labor costs while maintaining accurate inventory and records. Complete other duties as assigned by hotel leadership, including stepping in to perform essential functions during busy periods.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of housekeeping management or supervisory experience in a hotel or hospitality environment
- Hotel management degree or equivalent hospitality experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, scheduling, productivity, inventories, and labor management
- Ability to confidently handle guest concerns and find solutions with a positive, service-focused attitude
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine pride in cleanliness and presentation
- Ability to work effectively with guests, team members, hotel leadership, and other departments
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- High school-level mathematical skills required
- Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position
- Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays is a must
Desired Qualifications
- Spanish language skills are a plus
