Job Summary
Lead, train, and supervise housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service within a retail trade environment. Develop and implement housekeeping schedules, procedures, and quality control measures while managing inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Coordinate with other departments to address guest needs and resolve issues promptly, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards. Recruit, onboard, and mentor new team members to build a skilled workforce, preparing reports on activities and staff performance. Implement sustainable cleaning practices to support environmental initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in housekeeping within a hospitality or retail trade environment
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role overseeing housekeeping teams
- Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols
- Ability to read and understand safety data sheets and comply with health regulations
