Job Summary
Executive - Gate Operations at Chennai port responsible for gate productivity, truck turnaround time (<60mins as a target), In Gate, Out Gate and North Gate management, resource planning, safety and environmental compliance, monitoring and liaising with checkers, surveyors, security, yard supervisors, and documentation teams to ensure timely EIR generation, container details accuracy, and smooth gate operations. Includes monitoring traffic flow, contract workforce performance, incident/near-miss reporting, and continuous improvement activities in line with HSE requirements and terminal control procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Qualification (min) - Bachelor's degree / Diploma with Computer skills
- 2 years of relevant experience in Terminal Operations
- Good Communication Skills in Local Language and English
- Working knowledge of Terminal control procedures
- Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures
- Preferred Certifications if any - NIL
