Job Summary

Oversee day-to-day operations of the assisted living community, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and state surveyor standards. Manage resident services by conducting assessments, negotiating service plans, and coordinating care with ancillary providers while resolving complaints to ensure satisfaction. Lead a team of Employee Partners through recruitment, training, and supervision, ensuring adherence to wage, hour, and FMLA rules. Drive occupancy growth by developing sales and marketing plans, maintaining a favorable public image, and meeting weekly marketing goals. Control financial resources by managing budgets, collecting accounts receivable, and ensuring accurate financial records. Maintain safety and security of all community contents and inhabitants, providing emergency coverage as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • State-specific Assisted Living Administrators certification
  • 3+ years of experience working as an Executive Director or Administrator in the senior living industry
  • Strong understanding of state and federal regulations related to assisted living facilities
  • Proven financial management skills and experience managing budgets
  • Experience in sales and marketing, with a track record of achieving occupancy targets
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing quality care and improving the lives of seniors
  • Effective supervisory skills
  • Ability to communicate and work with all levels of the company's Employee Partners effectively
  • Ability to recognize and communicate problems appropriately
  • Ability to relate to the public, Residents, families, Employee Partners, and other professionals appropriately
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and provide information as requested and required
  • Ability to communicate proficiently in English, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet requirements of the job and be on call
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, 30 pounds regularly
  • Current driver's license in good standing and auto insurance meeting company minimums
  • CPR certified
  • Ability to teach/train others effectively
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of an interest in working with older adults
  • High school diploma
  • Current CPR Certificate or ability to obtain one within 90 days of being hired
  • Relocation within 30 days of offer for out-of-area candidates

Desired Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business administration, or a related field, or a combination of experience and education
  • Experience in managing a program or community for older adults
  • College credits or degree
  • Sufficient education to satisfy state experience requirement
  • Experience in sales and marketing
