Job Summary
The Executive Director will establish, grow, and scale the Metropoulos Institute for Technology and Entrepreneurship at Babson College. Responsibilities include providing strategic direction and overseeing operations, developing revenue generation strategies, managing a diverse advisory board, and creating partnerships to enhance cutting-edge programs in technology and AI. The role demands a minimum of a Master’s degree, significant leadership experience, proven fundraising capabilities, and exceptional communication skills. The Executive Director will represent Metropoulos publicly and internally, ensuring the integration of innovation into academic curricula.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or equivalent experience
- At least 10-15+ years of technology, AI, tech-enabled entrepreneurship or related experience in a leadership role
- Experience building and managing high profile new initiatives, ventures, or programs
- Strategic opportunity, business development, and competitive assessment experience
- Proven ability to fundraise
- Exceptional entrepreneurial leadership skills
- Significant personnel management experience
- Experience working as part of a leadership team and coordinating with internal and external partners
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Leadership, judgment, and creative problem-solving experience
- Understanding of international cultures and business practices
- Program and project management expertise
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong financial, budgetary, presentation, database management, and supervisory skills
