Job Summary
The Executive Director will lead Akido's Safety Net Service Line in California, encompassing key programs such as Street Medicine, Enhanced Care Management (ECM), and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). Responsibilities include overseeing regional teams, driving performance excellence, managing an eight-figure P&L, and ensuring compliance with Health Plan partners. The role requires a strong leader with a background in healthcare or social services, who is data-driven and skilled in systems building. Advanced training in relevant fields is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years leading teams in healthcare, social services, or adjacent safety-net settings
- 4+ years managing managers
- Systems builder who builds protocols, workflows, and processes that can scale quality and performance from 50 staff to 500+ staff
- Data-driven operator who sets goals, inspects results, and operationalizes improvements
- Excellent communicator who builds trust with staff, Health Plans, and community partners
- Comfortable spending significant time in the field
Desired Qualifications
- Deep familiarity with Medi-Cal, CalAIM ECM & Community Supports
- Health-plan/compliance and health policy familiarity
- SUD/harm-reduction training or clinical licensure (MD, DO, PA, NP, LCSW, LSW, RN)
