Job Summary

Interpret federal, state, and local housing laws to guide policy development and administrative procedures for the Rochester Housing Authority. Supervise all directors and departments, including finance, human resources, development, and maintenance, while administering budget preparation, capital planning, and personnel functions. Secure funding for new development and rehabilitation, manage legal contracts, and prepare agenda items and reports for the Board of Commissioners. Establish relationships with public agencies, elected officials, community partners, and tenant representatives to advance public housing programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Five (5) years full-time paid work experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in public housing programs or related urban, economic, and community development programs
  • Six (6) years of full-time paid experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in public housing programs or related urban, economic, and community development programs
  • 15 plus years of relevant housing experience
