Executive Director Principal Software Engineer - Agentic Engineering

Executive Director Principal Software Engineer role leading design, build, and scaling of a multi-agent AI platform at JPMorgan Chase. You will write production Python code, own architectural decisions, unblock engineers, and be accountable for production outcomes while setting multi-year strategy and building a high-performing team. Responsibilities include owning the multi-year agentic platform strategy (agent toolchains, RAG pipelines, memory/state architectures, context management, evaluation and feedback loops), architecting scalable multi-agent systems with LangChain/LangGraph/AutoGen, designing distributed ingestion/workflow systems with data contracts and lineage, establishing standards for the agentic development lifecycle (context engineering, automated evals, observability, security, release readiness), contributing directly in Python, leading design reviews, incident response, building reusable agent components (planning, tool calls, self-critique, state management, multi-agent coordination, safety controls), and partnering with MLOps/platform on deployment/monitoring/retraining pipelines (MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, etc.). Preferred qualifications include experience with kdb+/q, ClickHouse, time-series stores, financial services domain knowledge, publications/open-source contributions, and designing an agentic SDLC.
