Job Summary
Direct and coordinate the Scheduling and Route Coordination teams to oversee all student transportation, ensuring safe and efficient travel to and from school. Develop efficient, cost-effective transportation schedules and establish emergency plans while resolving incidents and complaints. Ensure compliance with federal statutes, state laws, and JPS policies; inspect vehicles, receive maintenance, and establish safety policies. Prepare and administer the annual department budget with the Chief Financial Officer. Carry and answer JP Schools-issued iPhone before, during, and after normal work hours, including weekends and holidays for emergencies. Maintain accurate communication with principals, teachers, parents, and key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressively increasing experience in school transportation
- Master's degree
- Must be able to operate office equipment
- Must have ability to provide own transportation to schools, work locations, and meeting sites
- Must be able to passed physical requirements to operate a bus
- CDL will be required within 6-12 months of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Administration, Urban/Regional Planning, or Transportation
- Working knowledge of computer
- Knowledge of the school system policies and
- Extensive experience in student transportation
- CPR/AED Certification
