Job Summary
Executive Director of Support Operations who oversees day-to-day operations of three offices (School Nutrition Services; Safety and Security Services; Pupil Transportation and Fleet Management), provides leadership and strategic guidance to ensure efficient operations in compliance with board policies, directives, and legal/financial requirements; advises the COO and leadership team; coordinates with city staff and stakeholders; develops budgeting/tracking systems, ensures cost-effective quality controls, and supervises staff across offices; ensures timely communication and collaboration on projects and initiatives; oversees procurement compliance and supports division-wide strategic objectives; available as an essential employee for after-hours emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in public administration or business administration is required
- minimum ten (10) years of progressive, hands-on operational management experience with direct supervision of three (3) or more supervisory leaders
- experience leading and managing decentralized and distributed service-support operation(s) across a large, urban area
- experience with logistics planning, budget process and operational management
- experience with preK-12 school operations (within transportation, security and/or nutrition) is preferred
- 12-month, 240 day Support Administration position, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer
