Job Summary
Lead end-to-end Medical Group revenue cycle operations, managing call center, mid-cycle charge capture and coding, and back-end billing functions to ensure accurate charge capture, timely billing, and regulatory compliance. Drive KPI performance including denial rates, clean claim rates, and net collection while optimizing Epic Revenue Cycle workflows for security design and reporting. Build and lead a high-performing team across all practices, fostering accountability and continuous improvement in financial integrity and payer management. Report jointly to the CEO and Chief Revenue Officer. Located in Norfolk, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in physician or Medical Group revenue cycle management
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end professional revenue cycle operations in a multi-specialty physician practice
- Strong knowledge of revenue cycle workflows, healthcare billing regulations, coding guidelines, and payer reimbursement methodologies
- Experience overseeing Epic revenue cycle operations and operational reporting
- Proven ability to lead managers and supervisors and hold teams accountable for operational and financial outcomes
- Experience driving performance improvement, operational efficiency, and change initiatives
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
