Executive Director of Finance

Job Summary
Develop the District's annual budget, long-range financial plans, and debt management strategies while overseeing cash flow, investments, and treasury activities. Lead the annual audit process, coordinate with internal and external auditors, and ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations. Supervise finance department staff, manage purchasing and inventory controls, and prepare financial reports for the Board of Trustees and executive leadership. Provide strategic advisory support to the Chief Financial Officer on enrollment forecasting, facility planning, and capital initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Educational Administration, or a related field
- Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience
- Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, auditing, financial reporting, treasury management, and school finance administration
- Experience supervising staff and presenting financial information to executive leadership and governing boards
- Comprehensive knowledge of public-school finance, governmental accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of Texas school finance, state funding formulas, property tax administration, and applicable federal and state regulations
