Job Summary
Support charter school leaders and teams by convening Communities of Practice, generating solutions for diverse learner needs, and overseeing shared services models. Lead policy and practice development for teacher talent pipelines, English Language Learners, and operational efficiencies while analyzing data to inform support determinations. Direct reports include the Director of Specialized Programming, Special Education Ombudsman, and Director of English Learner Support Services. Collaborate with state and local experts to address local or state-level challenges and ensure compliance with the Charter School Accountability Framework. Annually review and deploy the Diverse Learner Support Plan to maximize impact across the district's portfolio schools.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Special Education or related field
- Minimum of five years of professional experience
- Ability to follow-up/follow-through on assignments
Desired Qualifications
- Work with or in charter schools
- Knowledge of state and national best practices in supporting diverse learners
- Experience in school leadership (teacher leadership, administration or principal)
- Knowledge of and familiarity with special education and Louisiana Charter School policy and law
- Experience in implementation of shared services models
- Knowledge of state and national best practices in charter school authorization
