Job Summary
Create and execute the strategic vision and goals for the accounting department while leading a diverse team through coaching and knowledge sharing. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards, ensuring all systems remain synchronized and records are accurate. Manage treasury activities, maintain accounting resources, and drive process improvement strategies to increase efficiency. Partner cross-functionally with internal departments and external vendors to support strategic objectives, while advising senior management on policy changes and regulatory compliance trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Accounting degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University
- CPA
- Advanced understanding and knowledge of GAAP
- 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience
- 5 years of leadership experience
- Proven ability to break down divisional, organizational, team and individual barriers to influence and empower others, create trust, and provide a cohesive avenue of communication and ideas to contribute to a positive culture across the organization
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
