Job Summary
Executive Director to lead the Nonhuman Rights Project (NhRP) in advancing the organization’s mission to secure fundamental legal rights for nonhuman animals. The role requires strategic leadership, oversight of litigation initiatives, program development, fundraising, external relations, and governance to drive long-term impact and durable legal precedent. The ideal candidate has deep experience in nonprofit advocacy, a proven track record in developing and litigating significant cases or projects, and a strong commitment to civil rights and liberties. Required Qualifications
- At least 15 years of leadership experience in a nonprofit advocacy organization
- At least 10 years developing and litigating significant cases or projects
- Strong commitment to civil rights and liberties
- Experience guiding strategic organizational growth and governance
- Ability to lead fundraising and stakeholder engagement at a national scale
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
