Job Summary
Executive Director role leading the South Carolina Dental Association with strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement with the state dental board and MUSC College of Dental Medicine, advocacy and legislative engagement, and responsibilities to guide budgeting, insurance services, and member value. Requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) with CAE desirable and a track record in nonprofit/association leadership; strong vision, governance, and relation-building skills are essential. Salary range $160,000–$180,000 commensurate with experience. Location: Columbia, SC (onsite).
Required Qualifications
- bachelor's degree in a related field
- master’s degree preferred
- CAE designation highly desirable
- experience in executive-level leadership within a professional association or similar organization
- strong political and fiscal acumen
- understanding of insurance and advocacy
- board leadership experience
- professional education and continuing education credentials
