Job Summary
Executive Director to lead Wheatland Music Organization, overseeing festival production, programming, fundraising, staff and volunteer leadership, and organizational modernization. Responsibilities include representing the organization publicly, managing contracts for 500+ performers/vendors, grant writing and management, donor relations, budget oversight, and ensuring governance compliance. Requires senior leadership experience, board relations, fundraising acumen, and strong community engagement; preferred candidates have nonprofit leadership in arts/music organizations and familiarity with event management and financial tools.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of senior leadership experience within a mission-driven non-profit organization or demonstrated progressive leadership experience
- Demonstrated history of successfully leading a nonprofit organization, including board relations and strategic oversight
- 2 years of experience overseeing an organization’s budget and coordination of grant writing/management
- Strong community presence and relationship-building skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the warmth, humility, and people-first approach that the Wheatland community embodies
