Job Summary
Executive Director leads Global Patient Safety Sciences Delivery and serves as the strategic point of contact for Safety Sciences operations across Therapeutic Areas. Responsibilities include defining standard practices for data transformation, safety surveillance, SMT/SSP/SER coordination, and the initial drafting of aggregate safety reports; developing and maintaining SOPs and governance processes; enabling cross-functional partnerships with GPS Leads and Safety Sciences teams; and leading talent development to build a high-performing group. The role emphasizes driving consistency, quality, compliance, and scalable delivery of safety activities, with oversight of the Global Capability Center and implementation of innovative approaches (including AI) to safety operations. On-site in Dublin, travel as needed, requiring senior leadership presence and collaboration with Clinical, Regulatory, Med Affairs, and Biostats/Data Management teams.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum M.D., PA, PhD or PharmD Degree; Board Certification or equivalent in relevant clinical specialty; MBA is an advantage
- 17+ years total experience in PV or relevant clinical experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- 6+ years of leading a team and people management experience
