Job Summary
Executive Director for Frank Residences and Byer Square, providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship. Oversees both clinical and non-clinical operations, partners with executive leadership to advance organizational goals, and serves as a key representative within the San Francisco community and senior living industry. Leads governance, program development, survey readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and resident-centered service. Responsibilities include establishing operating and HR policies, ensuring regulatory compliance with CDSS/RCFE requirements, managing budgets and financial performance, driving occupancy and census goals, leading staff development, and maintaining strong community relations and stakeholder partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Active California RCFE Administrator License required
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or related field
- Working knowledge of California Department of Social Services (CDSS), RCFE, and Continuing Care Contract regulations
- Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated financial management and budgeting experience
- Ability to build relationships with residents, families, staff, board members, and stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and operational excellence
- Ability to delegate effectively and foster teamwork and accountability
- Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking in driving organizational performance
- Ability to lead complex organizations and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to oversee governance and policy implementation
