Job Summary
Executive Director (ED) for Manitoba-based Extendedicare Long-Term Care homes: leads overall operations and expenditures, drives strategic planning and governance, ensures resident safety and high-quality care, manages a multidisciplinary team, fosters a positive employee experience, ensures regulatory compliance, and steers financial stewardship and KPI-driven performance to meet organizational objectives across Manitoba communities (including Winnipeg, Brandon, and Selkirk) in a perpetual talent-pool context.
Required Qualifications
- A university degree in Health, Gerontology, Business, Marketing or Social Services
- LTC Administrator Certification (where applicable)
- Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant health management experience including budgeting, operating statement analysis, labour relations and knowledge of applicable legislation governing LTC operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead and engage a sizeable multidisciplinary team, in a unionized environment
- Understanding of business planning processes and KPI utilization to drive business success
- Experience in risk management and continuous quality improvement processes
- Commitment to person-centered care philosophy for seniors
- Must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
- Strong financial acumen and leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills
- Proven track record in strategic leadership and organizational development
- Ability to develop and implement home-level strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Knowledge of provincial/federal Acts and regulatory requirements relevant to LTC
- Ability to promote an inclusive, accessible, and equitable hiring process
