Job Summary
Develop and execute JANSON's defense growth strategy to expand business opportunities across the Department of War by identifying, qualifying, and advancing new opportunities with military commands, installations, and defense agencies. Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior military leaders, contracting officers, program managers, and acquisition professionals to convert strategy into qualified pipeline, capture plans, proposals, and awarded work. Guide internal teams on DoW acquisition strategies and represent JANSON at military conferences and industry events to drive engagement. Establish sales targets, pipeline coverage expectations, and bid/no-bid recommendations to support measurable growth objectives in modernization markets.
Required Qualifications
- Senior military, senior Department of Defense civilian, or defense industry executive experience with direct exposure to military facilities, installation operations, mission support, modernization, logistics, engineering, construction, or related defense services.
- Demonstrated success developing strategic relationships across the Department of War.
- Demonstrated success developing and converting business opportunities in the federal, defense, or military installation market.
- Experience supporting capture strategy, proposal development, customer shaping, partner strategy, and pursuit governance for government opportunities.
- Strong understanding of military organizational structures, funding, and procurement.
- Outstanding communication, leadership, and business development skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively in support of customer engagement and business development.
Desired Qualifications
- Retired senior military officer, senior noncommissioned officer, senior DoD civilian, or equivalent defense industry leader with an established network across military installations, commands, or defense agencies.
- Experience with military construction, facilities sustainment /restoration/ modernization, installation management, dining facility modernization, workplace modernization, MWR, quality-of-life initiatives, logistics, or base operations support.
- Experience selling or capturing design-build, design services, construction support, facilities modernization, digital modernization, logistics, FF&E, sustainment, or professional services work for federal customers.
- Working knowledge of federal contract vehicles, IDIQs, MATOCs, SATOCs, OTAs, GSA schedules, subcontracting channels, and prime/subcontractor pursuit models.
- Experience developing strategic alliances or teaming arrangements that resulted in submitted bids, expanded market access, or awarded work.
