Job Summary
Executive Director, Cloud Services leads the multi-year migration of data and application infrastructures to the AWS public cloud, guiding IT leadership in implementing a cloud-first strategy and transforming the IT organization. Collaborates with CIO, CDO, Enterprise Architecture, and business leaders to migrate service lines to AWS, influence Service Delivery, and ensure compliance and security requirements. Oversees IT Infrastructure & Operations across multi-environment hybrid cloud, shaping the I&O organization, disaster recovery, and governance. Requires extensive IT leadership experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and a proven track record of cloud-migration programs, ITIL-based process improvement, and strategic IT planning. Position located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area (Herndon, VA) and involves senior leadership responsibilities, workforce management, and cross-functional collaboration to execute the Clearinghouse’s IT strategy and roadmap.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or engineering
- 20+ years of professional experience in Information Technology including at the director level
- 15+ years of leadership responsibilities managing multiple cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders
- Proven experience in leading major cloud migration projects
- Knowledge of the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) framework to enhance processes and procedures for delivering high quality services
- Live within a commutable distance of Herndon, VA
