Job Summary
Lead oncology clinical science across thoracic, lung, head & neck, and gastrointestinal therapeutic areas, providing strategic oversight for portfolio delivery, regulatory submissions, and lifecycle management. Prioritize resources, align budgets, and partner with Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Medical Affairs to execute development strategies and support health authority interactions. Establish high standards for scientific rigor, study oversight, and data review while championing the adoption of AI, advanced analytics, and digital tools to enhance decision-making and efficiency. Lead a matrixed organization of Clinical Scientists, driving talent development, succession planning, and an inclusive culture of continuous improvement. Represent Clinical Science in governance forums to shape enterprise priorities and remove barriers to organizational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced scientific or healthcare degree (PhD, PharmD)
- Master's Degree in life sciences
- At least 10 years of oncology drug development experience
- 15 years of oncology drug development experience
- Significant experience in oncology drug development with demonstrated success across multiple phases of clinical development
- Deep expertise in Clinical Science, Clinical Development, and execution of global clinical programs
- Experience supporting regulatory submissions, health authority interactions, and late-stage development activities
- Proven leadership experience managing in large, matrixed organizations through multiple levels of management
- Demonstrated success developing talent, building leadership capability, and creating high-performing teams
- Familiarity with, or interest in emerging AI, advanced analytics, and digital capabilities applicable to clinical development
