Job Summary
Lead strategic oversight and portfolio delivery for oncology assets across hematology and early development stages, prioritizing resource alignment and key milestones. Partner with Therapeutic Area Heads and cross-functional partners in Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, Drug Safety, Translational Medicine, and Medical Affairs to drive development strategy and support regulatory submissions. Establish high standards for scientific rigor, study oversight, and regulatory readiness while championing the adoption of AI, advanced analytics, and digital capabilities to enhance decision-making and efficiency. Lead a matrixed organization of Clinical Scientists, coaching leaders, building talent pipelines, and fostering a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement. Represent Clinical Science in governance forums to shape enterprise priorities and align organizational objectives with evolving business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced scientific or healthcare degree (PhD, PharmD)
- Master's Degree in life sciences
- At least 10 years of oncology drug development experience
- 15 years of oncology drug development experience
- Significant experience in oncology drug development with demonstrated success across multiple phases of clinical development
- Deep expertise in Clinical Science, Clinical Development, and execution of global clinical programs
- Experience supporting regulatory submissions, health authority interactions, and late- and early-stage development activities
- Proven leadership experience managing in large, matrixed organizations through multiple levels of management
- Demonstrated success developing talent, building leadership capability, and creating high-performing teams
- Familiarity with, or interest in emerging AI, advanced analytics, and digital capabilities applicable to clinical development
