Job Summary
Operational planning, budgeting, and continuous quality assessment drive daily hospice services while ensuring compliance with legal and accreditation requirements. You monitor business operations for financial stability, evaluate personnel using measurable outcomes, and maintain effective communication channels through technology integration. Staff development includes orientation, in-service training, continuing education, and competency testing to ensure interdisciplinary care and adequate staffing. You develop service policies, coordinate with senior management, and keep the organization current on national hospice trends. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Health Care with three to five years of health care management experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Health Care preferred, or equivalent direct work experience
- three (3) years of experience in health care management
- Ability to communicate and facilitate training via phone, WebEx, or in-person
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EMR systems
- Ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel
- Ability to deal tactfully with the community
- Knowledge of corporate business management
- Understanding of hospice care and the services provided to patient and family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary group
- Intimate knowledge of Medicare Hospice Certification
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours
- Willingness to travel to hospice locations as assigned
- Willingness to be flexible with working hours
