Job Summary
Devise and implement the strategy and direction for the Delaware market's unified health and revenue efforts, assuming bottom-line responsibility for income and community health impact goals. Guide and direct a team of three fundraising professionals while hiring, training, and evaluating staff to meet aggressive unrestricted revenue targets. Manage a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of top-level corporate executives and build powerful partnerships with community, corporate leaders, and stakeholders. Develop profiles on key businesses and organizations within the territory with documented plans to secure their involvement and engagement. Meet with assigned staff to review programs and procedures, recommending changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This office-based role in Newark, DE, requires approximately 75% travel within the assigned territory and includes a hybrid work schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of prior relevant experience
- 3 years of managerial experience
- Direct knowledge of special event fundraising tactics
- Ability to travel the Delaware territory approximately 75%
- Access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis
Desired Qualifications
- Public health experience
- Solid understanding of how to engage and work with philanthropic communities
- Ideally with a sales team or fundraising team in a similar organization
