Job Summary
Executive Director oversees the total operation of a YMCA branch, aligning staff and volunteers with the branch and Association’s strategic plan; develops and implements annual operating plans; ensures smooth facility and program operations; leads fundraising, donor cultivation, and budget management; builds community relations and partnerships; guides staff recruitment, development, and performance; directs branch marketing and communications; sustains facilities, safety, risk management, and compliance; leads board engagement and leadership development; drives long-term capital development and endowment efforts; and models the YMCA Core Values in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent
- Six or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency; experience in management and development of volunteer involvement
- Ability to recruit top community leaders
- YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred (license/certification)
