Job Summary
Executive Chef to oversee daily operations of the Snow King Summit Building and Restaurant and all F&B outlets on the mountain, including Kings Grill and Café. Ensure high-quality, cost-effective products are served; manage kitchen staff and resolve issues swiftly; train staff on preparing recipes, using equipment, and back-of-house processes. Develop unique recipes and menus; hire and train kitchen staff to meet service, operational, and financial objectives; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food handling regulations; maintain cleanliness and proper storage; obtain feedback on food and service quality; handle customer problems professionally; step in wherever needed, including cooking. Requires ServSafe certification and BS degree in culinary science or related field or equivalent experience; capable of leading a team and communicating tasks effectively; must be available weekends and holidays. Salary range: $85k-95k per year plus bonus based on experience. Employee housing offered and ski season benefits.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in culinary science or related field or equivalent work experience
- ServSafe certification (preferred ServSafe Manager)
- Proven work experience in Head Chef, Executive Chef, or similar roles
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks and communicating these tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills
- Have a team-oriented mindset and work in coordination with other departments
- Able to work weekends and holidays
