Job Summary
Executive Chef responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations for a community setting, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation, coordinating menu development and meal preparation, leading pre-meal briefings with servers, training staff, scheduling and staffing coverage, managing ordering and inventory, maintaining cleanliness and health-compliance, reducing food waste, and supervising Sous Chefs, Cooks, Lead Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Utility Workers to deliver superior dining experiences for residents.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment
- Associate’s Degree in culinary related field is preferred
- Serv Safe or other required local, county or state certifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage and supervise kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food service techniques and requirements
- Willingness to work harmoniously with staff and residents
- Ability to switch tasks quickly and efficiently
