Job Summary
Culinary production lead for Home Chef’s Tempo Ready to Heat line, responsible for overseeing a mass-production kitchen, ensuring premium taste, appearance, and performance of meals, and maintaining gold standards of food quality and safety. Will train and lead a team of associates, coordinate with R&D and Corporate teams to implement new recipes, develop and review schedules, payroll in collaboration with HR, and supervise production processes. Requires 6+ years in high-volume kitchens, strong QA focus, familiarity with HACCP/FSMA/USDA guidelines, and travel up to 5%. Involves ongoing training and professional development of kitchen staff, collaboration with R&D chefs, and accountability for documentation, lot tracking, and batch records.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years’ experience in a commissary kitchen and high-volume food preparation
- High School Diploma or GED or related work experience
- American Culinary Federation chef certification preferred
- Fluent in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
- Familiarity with USDA/FDA guidelines
- Skills in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing projects and activities
- Passion for helping people achieve their goals and improve themselves
- Knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, SQF, and USDA regulations
