Job Summary
Executive Chef to lead Millstone Restaurant, overseeing food purchasing, storage, prep, sanitation, and a focus on quality, efficiency, and budget. Manage food production and utility staff; supervise menus, recipes, and back-of-house systems. Ensure sanitation compliance through procedures and monthly audits, and uphold federal/state food safety regulations including Health Dept. and HAACP. Maintain high standards for food quality and presentation while building strong resident relationships through regular dining room presence and feedback. Position emphasizes leadership, training and development of culinary teams and multi-unit operations within a senior living community.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years Executive Chef experience
- Fine dining experience a plus
- Knowledge of ala carte and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls and food presentation
- Good knowledge of PC software and POS systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
