Job Summary
Executive Chef directing a full-service kitchen and wait staff in an Independent Living community; responsible for daily menu and recipe coordination, supervising kitchen personnel, overseeing operation quality and safety, and ensuring sanitation standards. Leads training and supervision of cooks and dining staff, collaborates with the Associate Director of Dining Services, manages budgeting and stock, and ensures efficient dining department functions with emphasis on high-quality food production and resident satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or GED
- Licensure: Serv-Safe certification
- Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience in the dining and cooking field; preferably in a healthcare & restaurant setting
- Must be able to pass a physical, background check and drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with budget control and stock management
- Strong supervisory skills
- Flexibility with schedule and hours
- Must enjoy working with the senior population
