Job Summary
Lead and develop the culinary team in a high-volume senior living kitchen, maintaining top-tier food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and safety while managing food cost, inventory, and budget performance. Oversee hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff training; build schedules aligned with operational needs; ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements; collaborate on menu planning, special events, and resident-focused dining experiences; support community engagement through food and hospitality.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of culinary experience (culinary training preferred)
- At least 1 year of leadership experience (2+ years in food service management preferred)
- Knowledge of state dietary regulations and food safety standards
- A genuine passion for serving seniors and enhancing their dining experience
- Executive Chef – Additional Qualifications: 5–10 years of kitchen leadership experience; background in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant environments; experience managing high-volume kitchen operations; strong standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation; solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices; Current ServSafe Manager Certification; experience with menu development balancing flavor, nutrition, and cost; familiarity with special diets (low sodium, diabetic, heart-healthy); proven labor management and scheduling skills; strong inventory control and cost management experience; ability to train, coach, and develop kitchen staff; hands-on leadership presence during service
