Job Summary
Executive Chef leads kitchen operations across multiple restaurant locations, overseeing Head Chefs, Sous Chefs and kitchen staff; accountable for food quality, food and labor cost control, sanitation, and health inspections. Responsible for developing menus and recipes, training and hiring kitchen personnel, and coordinating scheduling and inventory. Requires 3+ years of executive chef experience or culinary-school graduation, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule at Oak Brook, Schaumburg, or Naperville locations.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years Executive Chef experience in a culinary-focused environment or graduation from culinary school
- Must have knowledge of culinary trends and execution
- Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have or pass a certified managers sanitation class
- Basic knowledge of first aid
- Ability to work variable schedule including weekends
- Ability to stand for full shift and lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to work in loud environments and tolerates allergens
