Job Summary
Executive Chef is responsible for managing all culinary activities for the GHC Kitchen at UC Berkeley, planning menus, directing food preparation, budgeting, recruiting and supervising kitchen staff, coordinating training, ensuring health and sanitation standards, and maintaining vendor relationships to meet client expectations.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years Lead Sous or Executive Chef experience and/or culinary degree preferred
- Serv Safe Certification within the first available class scheduled following employment. Maintain certification through duration of employment.
- Valid food handler’s card required (If required in State).
