Job Summary
Manage the calendar, schedule, and logistics for the EVP of News Programming, ensuring daily priorities and deadlines stay on track. Screen and direct visitors and calls while handling confidential correspondence, meeting notes, and business updates with discretion. Coordinate travel, process expense reports, and support editorial operations by organizing news content and reporter segments. Prioritize time-sensitive issues, adapt to changing priorities, and complete special projects as assigned. This role requires a proactive executive assistant with strong organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced news environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- Prior administrative or executive support experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Outstanding organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate needs before they arise
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and handle highly confidential information with discretion
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines
- A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and go above and beyond
- Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed to support special events and business functions
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
