Job Summary

Conduct executive-level administrative support for Senior Executive Service members and Flag Officers, managing access control, travel, and correspondence. Coordinate policy communication, monitor training, and serve as command suite receptionist. Prepare and review decision memos, read-aheads, daily updates, and meeting minutes while maintaining electronic schedules. Execute government records, database, and travel processes with expertise in Controlled Unclassified Information and classified handling. Develop and deliver senior executive correspondence and Ad-Hoc reports using Microsoft Office and government task management systems. Requires DoD Secret clearance, on-site work, and some travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience supporting members of the Senior Executive Service (SES) or Flag Officer equivalent
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience with DoD support
  • BA/BS and 6 years' experience in administrative/business field
  • AA and 8 years' experience in administrative/business field
  • 3 years' experience supporting CEO level military equivalent (Senior Executive Service (SES) or Flag Officer)
  • 6 years' executing and leading tasks associated with senior executive level, and/or general administrative support in all facets of administration
  • Expert preparing, reviewing and coordinating executive level correspondence
  • Expert in Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), For Official Use Only (FOUO), and Classified information handling programs and procedures
  • Expert in government records and database management process and procedures
  • Expert in government travel processes and systems
  • Expert in developing and maintaining administrative schedules including electronic schedules and calendars
  • Expert developing, supporting and delivering senior executive correspondence, such as decision memos, readaheads, daily updates, meeting minutes, metrics and Ad-Hoc reports
  • Expert in government task management systems
  • Proficient in researching, reviewing, and preparing meeting support materials (e.g. briefings, papers, read- ahead)
  • Proficient working with government time-management procedures and systems
  • Expert in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills to include phone, office etiquette, and written skills
  • DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Satisfactory background screening
  • Negative drug test
  • Positive references
  • Proof of identity
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Some travel may be required
