Job Summary
Execute new site start-ups and drive operational improvement projects focused on productivity, OEE, and efficiency across Harsco India sites. Lead innovation to develop new asset solutions while managing Oracle ERP systems and BI monitoring reports for the Plant & Equipment department. Coordinate with global engineering teams to ensure best practices and provide cost data for commercial proposals and new offers. Monitor equipment effectiveness and availability, ensuring mobile assets are utilized fully and profitably. Review and advise the Regional Ops Director on maintenance budgets and base work for TPM. This role supports end-to-end technical guidance for all sites within the global metals and environmental solutions provider.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering/ metallurgical Engineering
- 15 – 17 years of broad cross-functional experience in the metals industry
- Work experience in maintenance, operations, projects
- Essential
- Fluency in some of the important languages- English, Hindi and one regional language
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in related field and/or MBA
- In depth knowledge of steel making process
- Knowledge of key metrics and their application for driving an efficient sites
- Ability to work across a matrix organization, leveraging relationships that are not necessarily direct reports
- Previous Lean or Six Sigma or other continuous improvement experience
