Job Summary
Join the Drug Substance Operations Team at Alvotech in Reykjavik in a highly regulated, fast-moving manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include performing cGMP manufacturing activities in Grade CNC, D, and C classified areas with aseptic and containment requirements; aseptically culture mammalian cells in shake flasks using single-use bioreactor systems; prepare media and buffers per SOPs and batch documentation; maintain the USP manufacturing suite and equipment in inspection-ready condition; participate as a reviewer of cGMP documentation; support technical studies, validation activities (process/equipment qualification), and regulatory inspections (including PAIs); contribute to continuous improvement and right-first-time execution. Training is emphasized, with emphasis on attention to detail, safety, collaboration, and the ability to work across day/evening/night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or technical degree in biotechnology, chemistry, biochemistry, biochemical engineering, or science related fields (desirable)
- No prior experience required, but laboratory experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel)
- Excellent command of English language
- Ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team
