Job Summary
Psychiatrist position at the Phoenix VA Health Care System in Goodyear, AZ. Provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric services including face-to-face and telepsychiatry with responsibilities such as individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention, psycho-pharmacotherapy, consultation/liaison, and patient education. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (compressed schedule may be available). Benefits include substantial PTO, student loan repayment program (up to $200,000), sign-on bonus, comprehensive VA benefits, and potential relocation without losing benefits. Licensure requires one unrestricted U.S. medical license to work at VA facilities; board-certified status eligible for CME leave benefits. This role supports veterans across the Phoenix VA system with a focus on least restrictive care and high-quality patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified in Psychiatry
- Unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Willingness to provide outpatient psychiatric services (face-to-face and telepsychiatry)
- Experience in crisis intervention and psycho-pharmacotherapy preferred
- Ability to work in a VA environment and adhere to federal regulations
- Board certification eligibility or maintenance per VA requirements
