Job Summary

Psychiatrist opportunity at the Phoenix VA Health Care System focusing on outpatient services with both in-person and telepsychiatry care. Provide individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention, psychopharmacotherapy, and consultation/liaison duties, along with patient education in a secure, least restrictive environment. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with potential compressed work options. Eligible for VA benefits including education debt reduction program (EDRP), generous PTO, relocation mobility, malpractice coverage, and federal retirement plans; board-certified psychiatrists with an unrestricted U.S. medical license can work at VA facilities across Phoenix and surrounding clinics.

Required Qualifications

  • Board certification in Psychiatry
  • Unrestricted U.S. medical license
  • Completion of accredited residency in Psychiatry
  • Ability to provide outpatient psychiatric services including psychotherapy and medications
  • Experience with telepsychiatry and in-person care a plus
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • CME eligibility for license maintenance
