Job Summary
Employed ophthalmologist to build your own individual practice with support from operational leaders and staff; includes weekly shared office call with another ophthalmologist, advanced in-office laser and minor procedures, EPIC EMR, and access to vast multi-specialty referral sources. Responsibilities include comprehensive ophthalmology care such as cataract surgery, goniotomy, premium lens implants, laser procedures (YAG capsulotomy, LPI, SLT), chalazion/lid lesion procedures, corneal topography, OCT and visual field testing, and distribution of a full suite of ophthalmic equipment. Compensation package features a salary in the $425,000–$500,000 range, relocation assistance, 403(b) match, malpractice and tail insurance, CME/licensure/membership reimbursements, and a comprehensive benefits package within a regional health system (Mercyhealth) in the McHenry, IL area.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Ophthalmology
- MD/DO board certified/board eligible
- Skilled at providing exceptional care
- The ability to communicate clearly and work as a member of a team
