Exchange Planner

Job Summary

Review RFA requirements daily to support production assembly plans and manage inventory of salvage supermarket parts, batched parts, and internal fabrication components. Meet lead time requirements for salvage-only work orders by communicating progress updates to the Network Salvage Planner and adjusting plans to changing circumstances. Monitor flow of tags/parts through salvage areas to ensure alignment with plan requirements and generate plan attainment and asset backlog reporting. Maintain positive customer relationships while collaborating with production planners for creative problem solving. This role supports the OEM Machine Shop and Welding areas within Finning's engine and powertrain component remanufacturing division in Edmonton.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years related experience or an acceptable combination of education and work experience
  • Bachelor of Commerce or other relevant post-secondary education
  • Previous OEM experience
  • CAT product knowledge
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work in a multi-functional team
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Proven ability to be aware and flexible through assessment of situations
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Experience in parts planning and/or supply chain management
  • Monday - Friday, 5x2 shift
